Evil Kitty, an independent clothing label that appeals to young women, treats their customers to new, exciting, locally-produced and affordable designs this summer. The new summer collection is designed especially for the Evil Kitty customer in mind. Lidia Wachowska, the head designer, created interesting and unique pieces for a fraction of the price of other labels.
"We managed to keep the prices down and at the same time use a local manufacturer. We love to support our local economy," says Lidia Wachowska. "Women who wear our designs will look and feel great. They know that our designs will make them stand out in the crowd. They also know that they support a socially responsible company."
The new summer collection consists of t-shirts, mini skirts, hoodies and dresses. Strong colors and graphics are prevalent, yet some items are more subtle and feminine. The new graphics are more interesting and playful. They incorporate all the basic Evil Kitty logos that are deconstructed and put back together.
The "Hooded Dresses" combine a design of previous mini dresses and pullover hoodies. All items are made out of fabrics bought from U.S. suppliers. The collection has also one piece of jewelry: "Evil Necklace," created in collaboration with another independent artist: Janet Masamitsu from janetjewelry.com.
Evil Kitty creates playful and punk designs that sets them apart from other contemporary lines. They pride themselves in creating unique pieces in a socially conscious way. Each garment is created domestically with an emphasis on quality and sustainability. They design with strong and independent women in mind who want to stand out in the crowd.
"This year was hard on all of us," says Lidia "so I've been in touch with our loyal followers. I took their likes and dislikes into consideration while designing this small collection. I think they'll enjoy the new designs as well as the prices."
