The Madison Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) released its second quarter report for new store openings and store expansions on Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th Streets.

Between April 1 and June 30, the following stores have opened on Madison Avenue:
• Camper, shoes, 635 Madison Avenue (59-60)
• Marni, fashion, 21 East 67 Street at Madison Avenue
• Nanette Lepore, fashion, 958 Madison Avenue (75-76)
• Solange Azagury-Partridge, jewelry & perfume, 809 Madison Avenue (67-68)

The following stores moved to a new location within the Madison Avenue BID:
• Citibank, banking retail, 1042 Madison Avenue (79-80)
• Jil Sander, fashion, 818 Madison Avenue (68-89)

"We are excited to welcome all the new stores to share in one of the world's premier luxury fashion districts," said Matthew Bauer, President of the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District (BID), "These brands are only the latest in a long and illustrious line of fashion houses and world class retailers to choose the vibrancy and exclusivity of Madison Avenue as the location from which to do business."

Mr. Bauer continued, "Savvy brands recognize that the current environment represents an incredible opportunity to gain a foothold on Madison Avenue. Rents are lower than they have been in a while, and the smartest retailers will see this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain Madison Avenue visibility. These are the brands that are opening new flagships, expanding their existing space, and looking to the future."
