Junior denim manufacturer YMI plans for expansion

With almost a decade of solid growth in junior denim at department and specialty stores nationwide, YMI is currently in discussions with prospective licensing partners in a variety of other product categories. According to David Vered, President of YMI, "Now that we have firmly established our brand with both the consumer and the retail community, YMI is ready to broaden its merchandise offerings."

Deke Jamieson, Executive Vice President for licensing at YMI, explained that seeking solid partnerships is just the first step of a strategic rollout for YMI branded products. Jamieson stated, "YMI has spent years developing its brand in the United States. Both consumers and the retail community have been asking for more YMI merchandise as the brand continues to experience dramatic growth in sales and popularity. We plan on introducing additional apparel, including activewear, fashion tops, and dresses, along with footwear, handbags, and a variety of fashion accessories over the next two years."

YMI is known for its excellence in fit and design. Vered added, "We are being extremely selective with regard to licensing our brand and are planning to partner with companies who share our obsession with quality and service. We look forward to expanding our offerings to our dedicated and growing consumer base."

Today the brand has extended its current junior bottoms business to include: Royalty by YMI (Missy 6-16), Missy Plus (16W-24W) and YMI Girl (4-6x & 7-16).
