bluezone – the denim heart : 53 weaving mills, finishing and washing plants plus full-service agencies offer you everything you need for your denim business in the Zenith Hall. These include nine first-time exhibitors: Swift Denim (F), Kassim Textiles (PK), Rainbow Denim (IND) and Zet (D). Such firms as Asterias (TN), Beppetex (I), Bust a Nut (D), Consulting Box Denim Services (I), Sapphire Finishing (PK) and Zet (D) will reinforce the area for Garments & Finishing.

The core group of the Munich denim world will remain unchanged with such high-calibre weaving mills as Hellenic Fabrics (GR), Orta Anadolu (TR), Italdenim (I), Kurabo Denim and Kuroki from Japan as well as Raymond Uco Denim (IND).

Here again visitors to the trade fair will find targeted and power-packed trend information on the new fashion season. WGSN, the English trend experts of the Internet provider of the same name, will be represented with a major Forum where lectures will be held and a Trend Area be set up in addition to the well-known WGSN cinema. Furthermore, the bluezone is oriented towards the motto “Sonic Youth”. This trend theme stands for an anti-establishment movement and the individual lifestyle of a rebelling youth ready to fight for its ideologies.

This exciting sense of new departures is thought to go back to the band of the same name that
parted with pop-rock culture in the eighties and took to New Rave, Noise Rock and Post.

“organicselection by munichfabricstart” is the answer to the rising demand for information concerning ecology and sustainability issues. The trade fair now offers an extensive information package. On 40 m! in Hall 3 a product forum will be installed with certified fabrics and additionals where product examples of approx. 50 exhibitors provide an insight into the astonishing further developments in this field. A proprietary labelling of the trade fair in green, blue and orange subdivides fabrics and findings into different categories – depending on their certification level. Find an overview attached to this press release.

The Forum will be manned with experts for further details and explanations non-stop. In addition to this expert talks delivered in the first two days will enlarge upon this topic. “This means an enlargement to our service portfolio and the chance to give our trade visitors wellresearched information beyond the product all the way down to production and certification,” says trade fair CEO Wolfgang Klinder who adds that in view of the societal reorientation towards ecological and sustainable business the industry will have to address this issue even more intensely.

And this process starts with upstream supplies, i.e. fibre, fabrics and finishes. “organicselection by munichfabricstart” is designed to make this expanding market more transparent for trade visitors and help both exhibitors and visitors to take an in-depth look at sustainability and ecology.
