Taipei IN Style – successful & dynastic show

Taipei IN Style 2009 came to a dynastic close on 30 Aug. The 3 day fashion events were co-organized by Taiwan Textile Federation and Taiwan External Trade Development Council, with help from Bureau of Foreign Trade, at Area B of TWTC Exhibition Hall 1.

This was the 4th year of Taipei IN Style and splendid as usual. Events included catwalks, exhibition, seminars, one-on-one trade conferences and one dollar auction. The first day's events were exclusively open to 1,173 buyers from 22 countries (regions) and the rest tow days were to the public.Over 11,000 visitors were drawn to Taipei IN Style 2009's three-day expo. Exhibition 189 brands from U.S., Japan, Korea, H.K, Macau, China, Singapore, Panama and Taiwan were taking part in this year's Taipei IN Style and completed a success trade show of 200 booths.

The growth of exhibitors rocketed 27% from last year. 43% of them were fashion brand owners, 10% were from apparel brands, 12% were designer brands, 19% were upcoming designers, 5% were fashion design school instructors and 11% were service providers for fashion industry. A special section was particularly preserved for Taiwan's aboriginal designers. Over 70% of exhibitors were from fashion and designer brand companies. Local brands took the starring roles on the expo, including: Londee, Benetton Formula 1 of Feng-Shining,Minkwood, Felix Buhler under Munsin Garment, Plus E Sports of Chia Yee Garment, Macaca under Salvatore Giovanni, Companion Art by Kiaya, Jechiarng, Lily, Maxpal by Mextec, Banana Chippy a Jolly and Ayborteh.

Foreign designers were actively involved as well. Designers from all over the world completed a long list of attendees: Japanese brands ITOKIN, Aguri Sagimori, ORIBESQUE and MAENO Co.; Germany woman's wear Schumacher brought by Ever Shine If; H.K. designers Walter Ma, Chow Tan Tan, DoDo Leung, Harrison Wong, Henry Lau, Mandy Cheng, Hin Lee, Stanley Wong and brand name fait a main; Chinese American designers Leslie Wang and Annie Wu; Singapore designers Desmond Yang and Wendy Tay; designers Greta Bayo and Jaime Luna from Panama;Korean designer brand Max & Young; Chinese designer and fashion suppliers such as Claire Fang, Zeuselen, Hangzhou Jiang Ning Silk, Hangzhou Jiefeng Garments, Hangzhou Nanlin Textiles, Hangzhou New Silk Household Garments, Hangzhou Jieshi Garments,Hangzhou Qiuning Fashion, Hangzhou Shinjiexiu Silk, Hangzhou Wan Cheng Garment and the members of Sichuan Supplier Association.

The rest 30% of the exhibitors were apparel brand owners. Item category ranges were versatile from socks, hand bags, hats to other accessories. Participants were as follows: Sock manufacturers Tourist, Fu CHu Knitting, Soxlink, San Ho Fang Hosiery, F&H and Soxtex; hat makers Lead Tzang, Sunflower Mercantile, Alplus and Hope Land; suitcase expert Young Sangyo, coat hanger maker Leader-wind, shoe masters Acrondia International(H3O) and E-HUANG (sport foot wear), accessory supplier Aromark Industrial, Hangzhou Wuyue Household Garment, Health Body bedding selection by Healthin, Junmay Label, Pearl jeweler LaFinia-Jung Mau and Rokko Forest Club from Japan.
