The Board of Directors of the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund , the premier nonprofit scholarship fund dedicated to investing in the future of fashion, announced the organization's selection of the 2010 FSF Honorees. The esteemed 2010 honorees include Margarita Arriagada, Senior Vice President of Merchandising at Sephora, Thomas A. Kingsbury, President & CEO of Burlington Coat Factory, and Robert L. Mettler, former Chairman & CEO Macy's West. Mettler, a noted philanthropist, will be the FSF's second ever Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient.

These three honorees were chosen based on their positive impact on the business of fashion and beauty retailing as well as their commitment to education. This year marks the first time ever the FSF has honored an executive in the beauty industry. Arriagada, Kingsbury and Mettler, will each be presented their awards by David Sultineau (President & CEO, Sephora USA), W. Paul Jones (CEO, Shopko), and Leonard A. Lauder (Chairman Emeritus, Estee Lauder), respectively.

The 2010 FSF Honorees will be recognized at the FSF Geoffrey Beene Fashion Scholarship Dinner on January 13, 2010 at Cipriani Forty Second Street in New York City. The FSF Honorees will be joined by 110 FSF Scholarship Winners representing 28 schools from across the country. At the dinner, the FSF will announce the four Geoffrey Beene National Scholarship Awards' recipients.

Kenneth Wyse, President of Licensing and Public Relations at Phillips Van-Heusen and current President of the FSF, remarked, "We are extremely pleased with our Honorees this year. Arriagada, Kingsbury and Mettler are outstanding individuals who come from very different backgrounds and fields. The FSF is committed to celebrating talented individuals in the fashion and beauty industries, and one day we hope to see one of our former FSF Scholars also be recognized as an Honoree."

The annual FSF Geoffrey Beene Scholarship Fund Dinner serves as the principal fundraiser for the FSF's scholarship program and is graciously underwritten by GEOFFREY BEENE. The money raised will be used toward funding scholarships and the FSF's many support programs, including the mentor and internship programs. Next up for the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund, the organization will host the 2010 FSF Roundtable taking place at The Times Center in the New York Times Tower on Thursday, December 10th, 2009 at 5:00PM. Sponsored by DOW XLAT and LIM College, the roundtable will bring together fashion industry notables and a select group of FSF scholars for a mediated panel revolving around the theme 'Redefining the Rules of Fashion in Today's Economy.'

The YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund is a national non-profit association consisting of influential members of the fashion community, dedicated to promoting education of the fashion arts and business by granting scholarships to talented students and facilitating internships, mentorships, and career programs.
