BISUTEX: A Meeting-Point for the Fashion World
Fashion, colour, unique designs and large doses of imagination and creativity once again confirmed the innovative capacity of the exhibiting companies at BISUTEX. This exhibition presented an extraordinary range of trends for the Autumn-Winter 2009/2010 Season, one that reflected the importance of accessories, especially bags and hats, as well as grey and violet shades.Other prominent trends included large-sized fashion jewellery items, silver details combined with leather, bows, cord, rustic coral, semi-precious stones and volcanic rock, among other materials, not to mention imaginative time-pieces featuring daring ideas for both straps and faces.

BISUTEX also provided the venue for the staging of a unique exhibition organised in homage to the designer, ELIO BERHANYER. This exhibition brought together a range of the designer's unequalled designs for clothing items, accessories and jewellery, creations that have characterised the career of this grand figure from the world of Spanish design since the 1960's. In this respect, fashion once again played a leading role at the fair, based on the presentation of one of the great masters of design and a selection of his most important pieces over the last few decades.

Change of Dates and Extra Fashion Appeal
The next edition of Giftrends Madrid will take place between 4th and 8th February 2010, which entails a modification to the IFEMA calendar, given that the winter edition of the fair will take place almost one month later than its habitual dates. This decision corresponds to requests for extra time on the part of companies from the sector, enabling them to prepare their new features for the fair properly once the Christmas and New Year campaigns have concluded.

These new dates will also encompass the staging of SIMM, the Madrid International Fashion Fair, between 4th and 6th February, thus shaping the largest promotional forum for fashion in all its different facets: fashion jewellery, accessories, clothing, jewellery, home furnishings and decoration in general.
