NIKE, Inc. announced that Dave McTague has been named as CEO of Cole Haan. McTague will succeed Jim Seuss, current CEO of Cole Haan, who has decided to leave the company. McTague will join Cole Haan on January 4th, 2010.

"We appreciate Jim's leadership at Cole Haan as he has worked to position Cole Haan as a leading, premium brand in the marketplace," said Eunan McLaughlin, President NIKE, Inc. Affiliates. "Over the past several years, Cole Haan has focused on reinvigorating product creation and improving consumer connectivity. We continue to view Cole Haan as a complement to the Nike portfolio with opportunities for long-term growth."

Seuss will work with McTague to transition their roles through the beginning of the New Year.

"We look forward to welcoming Dave back to the NIKE, Inc. family," said McLaughlin. "With his previous leadership at Converse and knowledge and passion in the industry we feel confident Dave has the skills and experience to lead Cole Haan into its next phase of growth, connecting the brand with consumers worldwide."

As CEO of Cole Haan, McTague will report directly to McLaughlin. Prior to his most recent role as Executive Vice President of Partnered Brands for Liz Claiborne, Inc., McTague served as President of Converse Apparel from 2005-2007. McTague brings 25 years of extensive industry experience to his role at Cole Haan, having worked for Victorinox, Swiss Army Brands as President of Global Apparel and Retail and President of Menswear for Tommy Hilfiger USA, among other leading brands.
