Sportcoats marketer Hartmarx BOD approves share repurchase program

Men's and women's casual apparel marketer Hartmarx Corporation announced that its Board of Directors has approved a share repurchase program to acquire up to 2 million of the Company's common shares. Repurchases will be made from time-to-time in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions based on prevailing market conditions and other factors. At September 30, 2005, there were 37,111,968 common shares outstanding.
Sportcoats marketer Hartmarx produces and markets business, casual and golf apparel under its own brands including Hart Schaffner Marx, Hickey-Freeman, Palm Beach, Coppley, Cambridge, Keithmoor, Society Brand, Racquet Club, Naturalife, Pusser's of the West Indies, Royal, Brannoch, Riserva, Sansabelt, Exclusively Misook, Barrie Pace and Aura. In addition, the Company has certain exclusive rights under licensing agreements to market selected products under a number of following premier brands.
