Addressing the requirements of domestic buyers and designers, LFW will commence a month prior than previous seasons to focus on the current/upcoming season. Taking a step ahead, LFW has introduced the concept of a formal Resort platform for Indian designers aimed at increasing exposure for Indian designers to buyers, media and the fashion industry both in India and abroad.

LFW's constant endeavor is to promote quality and ensure high standards of excellence in designer participation. Thus, LFW will see eight designers in the GenNext category, seven designers in Emerging and 40 established designers showcasing their remarkable collections and six accessory designers.

The five day trade event will see celebrated designer Christopher Kane, described as 'unrivalled on the fashion circuit' by Anna Wintour and recent winner of the British Fashion Council's Designer of the Year, present his Summer Resort 2010 collection exclusively and presented by LAKMÉ STUDIO & CATWALK by TIGI.
