MODACALZADO + IBERPIEL continues to sign up new participants

The twenty-fifth edition of MODACALZADO + IBERPIEL, the International Footwear and Leather Goods Fair, an event organised by IFEMA, continues to sign up new participants. In this respect, at least 75 new companies will take part at the fair that were not present at the edition held in March 2009.

The resurgence witnessed by the fair at this edition, which is due to take place between 11th and 13th March at Feria de Madrid, highlights the rising confidence that high-quality Spanish footwear brands place in this fair, which has become one of the three most important showcases on the European circuit and at an international level. MODACALZADO + IBERPIEL will thus confirm its role as a unique forum at which to discover the latest innovations and ideas from the leading Spanish and foreign brands within the leather goods industry.

A number of large companies such as See by Chloe, Castañer, Jaime Mascaró, BadBoy and Ballco, among others, have also announced their presence at the event, alongside many other companies from both Spain and abroad, exhibitors who are habitual participants at MODACALZADO + IBERPIEL, such as the following: Magrit, Pons Quintana, Dorotea, Paco Gil, Looky, Barrats 1890, Chie Mihara, Stuart Weitzman, Pura López, Mustang, or Sendra Boots. In total, it is estimated that the fair will bring together more than 700 brands within its different sections, presenting their collections for Autumn-Winter 2010/2011.

This promising outlook means that, with still one month to go before the staging of the fair itself, the March edition of MODACALZADO + IBERPIEL has already surpassed the exhibitor and exhibition space figures achieved in September 2009.

Alongside the outstanding exhibition of footwear presented at the fair, MODACALZADO + IBERPIEL will strengthen its appeal at this edition with the incorporation of the products and services offered by the fur sector, based on the strong presence of a number of fur companies. The incorporation of IBERPIEL PELETERIA is based on the decision of the corresponding sector to join this fair, especially after the dates of the February edition of SIMM, the Madrid International Fashion Fair, were brought forward. The companies that make up the IBERPIEL PELETERIA exhibition formerly presented their collections within the framework of SIMM. Brands such as Araujo Piel, Benetfurs, Corty Bennett, Goes, Jestion Mayor, Lan'g Furs, Makari, Peletería José Ramón and Best Fashion are just some of the exhibitors that will be taking part at MODACALZADO + IBERPIEL, within the sections known as CHIC and GLAMOUR.

Halls 7 and 9
MODACALZADO + IBERPIEL will occupy Halls 7 and 9 at Feria de Madrid. In Hall 7, the CHIC and GLAMOUR Sections will bring together the most sophisticated and elegant ideas at the fair.
