Stone to develop THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL merchandise

PAID Inc and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL have appointed Stone America, LLC, one of the nation's leading licensing and marketing firms, to develop and license THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and “Forrester Creations” fashion lifestyle merchandise, to include home, apparel and beauty products, PAID, Inc. President of celebrity services KEITH GARDE announced.

The Emmy Award winning CBS drama series, which for 23 years has focused on the lives of a Beverly Hills fashion dynasty, captures the imagination of more than 35 million viewers a day in over 100 countries. It is the most watched series in its genre worldwide.

“This licensing program will extend the television viewing experience into the lives of our viewers in an authentic, fun and exciting way,” said THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL's Executive Producer and Head Writer, BRADLEY P. BELL. “We're excited to work with PAID and Stone America to provide new products and fresh experiences for our worldwide fan base.”

“THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL imprimatur has become recognized worldwide. To be able to capitalize on that recognition by launching a strategically coordinated fashion lifestyle program at retail will surely be a success at all levels,” said ROB STONE, President of Stone America Licensing.

As previously announced, PAID will work along side THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL team in the licensing area, which will encompass retail and live experiences, among other categories. PAID is also working with THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL on the development of connected fan communities to support the series, including fan events and outreach for its stars, as well as coordinating the strategic direction of the series' website and social media initiatives. On August 30, 2009, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL won the Emmy for “Outstanding Drama Series” at the 36th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. On June 11, 2009, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL was the recipient of the Golden Nymph Award at the International TV Audience Awards in the “Telenovela/ Soap Opera” category at the Monte Carlo Television Festival awards ceremony, confirming that in its genre, with an estimated 35 million daily viewers, it remains the most watched series in the world.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, which will celebrate its 23rd anniversary on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, is a Bell-Phillip Television production, broadcast weekdays (1:30-2:00 PM, ET; 12:30-1:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network. Bradley P. Bell is the Executive Producer and Head Writer. The first and only daytime drama to simulcast in Spanish utilizing SAP (Secondary Audio Program) technology, the show is the most watched daily dramatic serial in the world, viewed in more than 100 countries.
