As a guest star German top model Katrin Thormann will be presenting the fashion trends of well-known designers on 12 March at 11.00 am at the Upper Style Show in Hall 2, Trends On Stage. The 22-year-old from Kiel was discovered while shopping and surprisingly made it to the front page of the “Dazed & Confused” magazine in 2008. Soon after she also caused an international stir at the New York fashion week.

Since then the 1.80 m blonde boasting 86 – 62 – 89 has graced the covers of Harper's Bazaar and Vogue not just once. On the runway she has presented creations by Calvin Klein, Givenchy, Prada, Mulberry and Strenesse, to name but a few. Kathrin Thormann will be available for photos and interviews after the show.

The opening of the Upper Style Show on Friday, 12 March at 11.00 am in Hall 2, Trends on Stage will be assisted by actress Katja Flint sitting in the front row. She was the face of Marlene Dietrich on the silver screen and cinemagoers will have the 50-year-old fresh in their minds in her role as Elisabeth in The White Massai. She was recently on camera in the music drama “Fame” by Oscar winner Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. Katja Flint will also be available for interviews and photos after the fashion show. Furthermore, a tour of the trade fair will be organised with the actress.

One of the fastest women in the world is Natalie Geisenberger.The Bronze Medal winner in singles luge at the Vancouver Olympics will be the guest star at the Easy to Go – Wellness Show on Friday, 12 March at 1.30 pm. The athlete will be available for photos and interviews afterwards.

Designers
Spanish designer Paco Gil is an icon: his world-famous women's shoe collections are elegant and fashionable, high-quality and aspirational. He will personally attend the trade fair and also be available for interviews and photos after prior agreement.

Floris van Bommel is considered the rebel amongst shoe designers. The young Dutchman heads the shoe factory in the ninth generation now blending centuriesold tradition with fashion innovation and a touch of irony. With this he creates extremely individual men's shoe collections.

Louis MMXI - Upper Style Show: Progressive high fashion, up-to-date design and tradition-rich craftsmanship from the re-organised Premium World of Hall 4 (daily at noon). Grand Show opening featuring top model Katrin Thormann and actress Katja Flint: Friday, 12 March.

Rooted - Encouraged – Surprising - GDS Trend Show:Popular, international quality brands with a fashion message from the Superior and Essential segments. The three GDS trend themes “Rooted - Encouraged – Surprising” outline the new season in a consistent and coherent way (daily at noon).

Easy to Go - Wellness Show: New concept comprising various collections from the versatile Wellness segment (daily at 1.30 pm).

Circus - Urban Fashion & Kids Show: Fast-turning street and sportswear, icon brands with tradition as well as original trendsetters (daily at 3.30 pm).
