Continuing further, he said, “I think the time has come to send a message across the globe that we can also design and produce clothes ranging from haute couture to prêt-a-porter at par with the European and American designers. The customers can now find fashionable clothes even in their native markets.”
Dubai is slowly turning into a fashion hub for the Gulf countries wherein, all the biggest and leading fashion brands have a flagship store. But, what generates revenue for these flagship stores are the UAE women, who are the biggest buyers for these stores. Cinco thinks it's a good platform for designers, new or established to showcase their talents so as to be recognized the world over.
Before winding up the interview, Cinco spoke about his thoughts on the coming Autumn-Winter 2010 collection. He said, “The collection will display a season of practical, sensible and recession friendly styles.
Since, minimalism is in trend now, but in design and not clothes, therefore, here in the Arab countries we will minimize the design and keep the clothes rich in crystals and beadwork. Though styling will be more on simple silhouette, clothes will continue to have minute and intricate detailed work on them.”
According to Cinco, the coming winter season will portray light fabric with pastel colours and imaginary designs.
