Twenty-eight students presented their final collections at the SCAD Fashion Show, with fashions ranging from intricate hand woven knits and elegantly draped evening wear to children's wear to accessories. Selected by a jury process, the students' work is critiqued every step of the way, from sketches to garments, by some of the top professionals in the fashion industry.
The event began with 10 tributary caftans designed by SCAD alumnus Peter Hale Cooney III (B.F.A., fashion, 2007). Each garment was inspired by the designers presented with the Andre Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the award and it's namesakes penchant for designer robes.
