Style 2010 recognised as the debuts in Fujairah

The first official Fujairah fashion event, suitably named Style 2010, took place from the 19th to 21st May 2010 under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Sara Bint Hamad Al Sharqi to mark the debut of fashion style events in the emirate. The event was hosted by Fujairah Tennis & Country Club and was attended by over 2000 guests, designers and fashionistas from all over the UAE.
Style 2010 showcased some of the UAE's most prominent designers including Amal Murad of Redaa Collection, Mariam Mazrou of Mimi, JYK Fashion House who presented the latest collection, Shrekahnth, Bisma Ahmed of B'Zma and Banan Suliman who all spectacularly presented their latest collections. “It was a great honour to participate in Fujairah Fashion Weekend, Style 2010 and is the perfect platform for designers in the UAE to present their designs to the world in energetic and inspiring environment,” said Juhi Yasmeen Khan of JYK Fashion House.
A large factor in the success of Style 2010 was due to the support of the illustrious sponsors that included Swiss Arabian Perfumes, Kaya Skin Clinic that demonstrated their ground braking skin care treatments, Babyshop who exhibited their latest baby collection, Splash who highlighted their favourite summer pieces on the catwalk, Home Centre, Le Meridian Al Aqah Beach Resort, Orange and Emirates Vision Events. Each evening was concluded with a raffle where guests could win fantastic prizes from both Swiss Arabian Perfumes and Areej.
“Our partnership with Style Expo 2010 has been a great experience. Everything from the beautiful locale of Fujairah to the event organization and designer mix was very well thought through. Style 2010's overwhelming reception has paved the way for Fujairah to become an Emirate recognized for its art, fashion and culture as it aims to become a seasonal event on the UAE's fashion calendar. Style 2010 is set to become an important event for Emirati designers to highlight their talents and collections for both established and up and coming brands.
