Future Fashions to market Liz products under Axcess

Liz Claiborne Inc. announced a licensing agreement with Future Fashions, a division of Trimera Group, under which Future Fashions will become the licensing partner in the Canadian market for Liz Claiborne apparel, handbags and related accessories, which are not currently licensed in Canada. This agreement also includes licensing the rights for Men's and Woman's apparel under the Axcess brand name in the Canadian market. Trimera Group is a retailer, licenser, marketer and manufacturer of premium, diverse brand-name sportswear, activewear, outerwear, swimwear, intimates and accessories worldwide. Liz Claiborne and Axcess will join a world class stable of brands working with Trimera Group including Disney, Nike, Sean John, and Nickelodeon among others.

With this agreement, Liz Claiborne Inc. will provide select design services, with Trimera Group also taking on some design responsibility, as well as sourcing, production, distribution, marketing, and merchandising for the brand in that market. The design and feel of the brand will remain consistent with the strong heritage of Liz Claiborne, but will be adapted specifically to meet the needs of the Canadian marketplace. Liz Claiborne-branded apparel, handbags and related accessories will remain available for sale at stores throughout Canada.

As such, this partnership will help us capitalize on the vast potential that exists for this iconic brand in the country.”

Liz Claiborne Inc. designs and markets a global portfolio of retail-based premium brands including Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Lucky Brand and Mexx. The company also has a refined group of department store-based brands with strong consumer franchises including the Monet family of brands, Kensie, Kensiegirl, Mac & Jac, and the licensed DKNY Jeans and DKNY Active brands. The Dana Buchman and Axcess brands are sold at Kohl's, and beginning in Fall 2010, the Liz Claiborne and Claiborne brands will be available at JCPenney and the Liz Claiborne New York brand designed by Isaac Mizrahi will be available at QVC. Liz Claiborne New York will also be available at company-owned outlet stores and internationally.
