Liz Claiborne Inc. announced a licensing agreement with Future Fashions, a division of Trimera Group, under which Future Fashions will become the licensing partner in the Canadian market for Liz Claiborne apparel, handbags and related accessories, which are not currently licensed in Canada. This agreement also includes licensing the rights for Men's and Woman's apparel under the Axcess brand name in the Canadian market. Trimera Group is a retailer, licenser, marketer and manufacturer of premium, diverse brand-name sportswear, activewear, outerwear, swimwear, intimates and accessories worldwide. Liz Claiborne and Axcess will join a world class stable of brands working with Trimera Group including Disney, Nike, Sean John, and Nickelodeon among others.

With this agreement, Liz Claiborne Inc. will provide select design services, with Trimera Group also taking on some design responsibility, as well as sourcing, production, distribution, marketing, and merchandising for the brand in that market. The design and feel of the brand will remain consistent with the strong heritage of Liz Claiborne, but will be adapted specifically to meet the needs of the Canadian marketplace. Liz Claiborne-branded apparel, handbags and related accessories will remain available for sale at stores throughout Canada.
