Palistan: Rocca for improved US-Pak industrial ties

Christina Rocca has sought expansion of industrial relations between the US and Pakistan during her visit at Lahore, Wednesday.
The US Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs mentioned this while meeting of representatives of gems and jewellery industry.
The representatives provided a briefing to the assistant secretary on the traditional crafting techniques of intricate jewellery and other related developmental activities that will enhance competitiveness of the sector.
Praising the industry's efforts Rocca offered $1.5 billion assistance package to Pakistan, according to press release.
The package being offered by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the project called 'Pakistan Initiative for Strategic Development and Competitiveness' will aid gems and jewellery, dairy, and marble and granite industries.
