The debut event will present some 200 selected international and Turkish brands in this the fashion and lifestyle metropolis on the Bosporus.

Over the past two decades Turkey has established itself as a leading production powerhouse in the European fashion industry. In this Europe's sixth largest economy clothing and textiles count as key industries. One quarter of the country's total exports is accounted for by fashion and textiles. At the same time, Turkish industry is undergoing drastic change and is increasing looking to developing and marketing its own brands developed with Turkish and international designers. And the fashion business is primarily
active in Istanbul, the largest goods hub in the Near / Middle East with strong contacts with Europe.

Istanbul has always held a special charm for the fashion and clothing industry. Caught between the Orient and the Occident and boasting twelve million inhabitants the city inspires the sector with its fascinating cultural mix and has been seen as a strong trading hub for Europe and the Near East since time immemorial. cpi will therefore bridge a gap that was long overdue in the fashion world.
