Fashion retailer Steve & Barry's University Sportswear, the 2005 winner of the International Council of Shopping Center's (ICSC) "Hot Retailer of the Year Award," has opened its 100th store at the Medley Centre in Rochester, New York (NY)this week.

Completely re-writing the rules of retail by delivering unbelievably low prices on high quality casual apparel for the entire family, and presenting the merchandise in fun, friendly and beautiful shopping environments, Steve & Barry's has stores in 27 states and will add another 25 stores before the end of the year.

The company anticipates opening another 75 to 100 stores in 2006 and continuing to expand its footprint for years to come.

Founded by childhood friends Steven Shore and Barry Prevor in 1985, Steve & Barry's has grown from a group of college campus-based fan shops to a chain of shopping mall-based super-sized locations that feature huge selections of private label men's, women's and kid's apparel, including entire departments of jeans, t-shirts, athletic pants, jackets, footwear, heavyweight hooded sweatshirts, jerseys, hats, chinos, shorts and polo shirts in sizes to fit the whole family.
