IBGM & CCAB jointly to organize 'Jewellery Arabia' fair

According to the secretary general of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Michel Alaby, per capita income in Bahrein is among the highest in the Arab countries, at US$ 15,000. This is a positive factor for the Brazilian companies interested in winning the market. According to him, Brazil has gems that cannot be found in countries that compete with it as exporters, and the design of Brazilian jewellery is also a differential for Arab importers.

Eyeing the Arab women's passion for jewellery, Deca Comercial, a jeweller from the southeastern Brazilian state of São Paulo, well known for brand Laura Marchi, is going to take to Jewellery Arabia an exclusive collection of rings, bracelets, and yellow-gold necklaces with Brazilian gems. The company's intention is to start investing in the Arab market. "We believe in the market," stated the company financial director, Henri Dolnikoff.

The fair includes a day exclusively for Arab women. Thursday (24), from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm, is Ladies' morning, when only women may enter the fair. According to the foreign relations manager at the Arab Brazilian Chamber, Fadley Fattah, who is in Bahrain and has already participated in previous editions, the ladies' morning promises business. One differential of Jewellery Arabia is that most of the sales are retail, as the fair is open to the public.

The fourth company included in the Brazilian stand is Talento, also from Minas Gerais. The company is participating in the fair for the second time. They do not yet export to the region, but last year made some sales to the Middle East during the fair and bet on new business this year.
