Baby Genius takes first step into musical footwear

Pacific Entertainment Corporation has signed a new licensing agreement with United Legwear Company LLC for the manufacture and distribution of infant and toddler soft-soled shoes featuring the award-winning Baby Genius brand, it was announced by Larry Balaban, CCO.

This agreement follows on the heels of a deal announced in April 2010 granting United Legwear a license to manufacture and distribute Baby Genius-themed infant and toddler products. Under the new three-year agreement, which includes the U.S. and Canada, United Legwear plans to introduce the first products at retail in Spring 2011. The Joester Loria Group, exclusive licensing agency for Baby Genius, brokered the deal.

“We are pleased to be working with United Legwear under a new agreement to further the reach of the Baby Genius brand with innovative new footwear products that incorporate the Baby Genius mission, music makes a difference,” said Balaban.

“United Legwear is proud to bring the Baby Genius characters to life with creative shoes, adding music and other functional attributes to footwear that will enhance the Baby Genius brand experience,” said Ed Ash, Division President.
