Blue Nile launches three new 'Build Your Own' diamond jewelry

Leading high-quality diamond retailer Blue Nile Inc announced the launch of three new Build Your Own diamond jewelry customization features.
The new Build Your Own technology enables consumers to create their own diamond jewelry matched to their budget and diamond criteria and view the finished piece online in real-time. The new features include Build Your Own Five-Stone Ring, Six-Stone Cluster Earrings, and Asscher-Cut Diamond Stud Earrings.
Using Blue Nile's online tools, consumers can quickly input their diamond specifications and budget parameters to search the world's largest selection of more than 60,000 certified diamonds. Behind the scenes, complex algorithms sort through the inventory to produce a selection of diamonds that not only correspond to consumers' criteria, but also match one another.
"Traditionally consumers would be forced to either choose from a limited selection of preset diamond jewelry in a store, or pay a premium to wait weeks for a piece of custom jewelry," said Blue Nile CEO Mark Vadon. "Conversely, a Blue Nile customer will pay 20 to 40 percent below traditional retail and receive his order in four business days via free FedEx Priority Overnight."
Considered the industry standard for online jewelry customization, the new features add to Blue Nile's enormously successful Build Your Own Engagement Ring, Earring, and Pendant customization features. Blue Nile's exclusive customization tools have made it one of the largest sellers of certified diamonds and fine diamond engagement rings in the world.
