Esmod Dubai, the leading fashion school in the region, has announced that it will be offering several short fashion-related courses at The Address hotel Dubai Mall between October 7 and November 15, 2010, to cater to aspiring fashionistas who cannot enroll for long term courses at the school due to time constraints.

The short courses that Esmod Dubai will offer include: 'How to launch your own fashion brand', 'Fashion marketing in the Middle East', 'How to identify and manage a niche market', 'Online fashion marketing' 'How to establish a successful retail operation', 'Fashion and perfume brand marketing integration', 'How to create a unique selling proposition', 'How to select, win and manage a franchise', 'Modern techniques of visual merchandising', 'Preview haute couture & ready-to-wear international collections', 'Discovering oriental & French perfume heritage' and 'Fashion design'. The duration of these courses range between one and four days, and is open to students over 18 years of age, with no prior qualification required for most courses.

Commenting on the new short courses, Tamara Hostal, Director and Founder of Esmod Dubai, said, “Over the last few months we have received several enquiries and requests from people about the various courses we offer, with many expressing a desire to attend courses with a duration of two to three days. We understand that not everyone will have the time to attend the full time courses offered on campus. Accordingly we are introducing these set of short courses at a convenient location, which we believe will allow more people to attend and benefit from Esmod Dubai's high-quality fashion training expertise.”

“The course topics have been selected after a thorough analysis of current trends in the fashion industry and each course will provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject, giving both international and local perspectives,” she added.

Meanwhile, Esmod Dubai has also announced the commencement of classes for the new batch of the 3-year program, with several students having an interesting profile in design coming in from various countries. The school is also receiving students keen on attending the short duration workshops in fashion and make-up. These workshops will also be conducted by the highly experienced faculty of the school.

Esmod International Fashion University Group is the oldest fashion school in the world. Esmod Dubai opened in 2006 and currently has around 200 students from 50 different nationalities. Esmod Dubai offers 3-year French diploma programs, short programs that are open to the public, and customized short courses for professionals. The school recently announced the appointment of Christophe Beaufays, Designer and Creative Assistant of world-renowned French haute couture fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, as the school's new Associate Artistic & Creative Director
