Pearl Lowe's hotly anticipated Christmas collection for leading value fashion retailer Peacocks launched online and in-store this weekend to huge media fanfare. This collection, Pearl's fourth for Peacocks, sees the singer-turned-designer go from strength to strength.

Before her collaboration with Peacocks, Pearl used to make lace dresses for herself as a hobby. Soon her celebrity friends – including Kate Moss and Sadie Frost – were asking her to make pieces for them. Now the whole world is desperate to get their hands on one of her beautifully delicate and intricate lace designs.

The Times featured Daisy Lowe modeling the '50s-style black lace prom dress, which they described as the most sought-after piece in the range.

The Sun's fashion file also focused on the lace dress and the fashion frenzy it's causing with its waiting list, as Peacocks' celebrity fans and customers clamor to get hold of it.
Sunday Times Style was another leading fashion magazine that chose to showcase Pearl's Christmas collection, also selecting the prom dress as the one to wear to wow at the Christmas party.

News of the World included a half-page story showing how to get designer style at high street prices with a feature on the lace prom dress and the bridesmaid dress that inspired it. Fabulous magazine chose to focus on pleats - a key trend for winter 2010 - picturing Pearl's pleated maxi dress as the best of the trend.

Black is back and Pearl has made dark and dramatic the most desirable look for evening, but this look needs embellishment to be up-to-date.
