Valentino Fashion Group announced that the company turns into Japanese market with new store idea.

The top label of the fashion group of the same name opened its flagship store in Tokyo yesterday evening. Over two floors, designed by Antonio Citterio, the store covers approximately 500 square metres.

Michele Norsa, Managing Director of the Valentino fashion group told MMF that this is the largest retail investment they have made since acquiring Valentino. The brand new store is located on the main street of the Ginza District, at one of the crossroads most favoured by the luxury market.

MD explained that the building has a glass-plated facade broken up by aluminium panels and topped by illuminated LEDs while the staircase between the two levels is “live”, with little alcoves at the sides to house the accessories. After the inauguration ceremony, the evening continued with a parade of 20 black and white dresses (haute couture and prêt-à-porter) at the new Italian Institute of Culture, designed by Gae Aulenti.

Norsa continues that this investment is very important for us because Japan is Valentino's third largest market, with 25 stores, of which six are free-standing and 19 shop in shops within department stores. Sales in the country are worth $ 50 million.

Italian fashion company Valentino plays a vital role in the world of fashion and luxury, with a rich and well-diversified portfolio of products which includes clothing, accessories, and footwear for men and women.
