Blue skies over Indigo

The new format of the show led to a better flow this session. While the first day remained strong, particularly in terms of sales, the second day was the best, with 5,906 visitors, and the third day remained solid.

Throughout the show, designers and buyers poured into the Indigo Fashion Area for an invigorating dive into summer 2012. They particularly enjoyed discovering a seaside atmosphere in harmony with the season, with a "Beachwear" display that combined nautical sports and relaxation through its surfboards and beach chairs acting as novel supports for the exhibitors' original designs. Alliances of motifs, patterns and colours, targeted in the spring summer 12 Influences document, also enlivened the wall of images marking the Fashion Area, and the video screens affixed to the beach cabanas. Exhibitors noted that the Fashion Area perfectly fulfilled its double role as a junction orienting visitors towards the exhibitors' offer, and a reference point for the season, enabling visitors to discover new talents and generate new contacts.

Aware of the importance of Indigo as a business and image platform for their studios, Indigo exhibitors sought to stand out and impose the image of their brand by developing customised stands. The results of the February 2011 Fashion Edition of Indigo regain pre-crisis levels, and attest to the coherence of the concept of a multi-industry and multi-product show. At the heart of a sophisticated fashion process, Indigo constitutes an obligatory passage, as pointed out by Peter Westcott of Westcott Designs and Appaloosa (United Kingdom),who has been showing for many years at Indigo: “...Indigo is a vital resource for the fashion industry, the designers from which gather in increasing numbers at Indigo each season to stock up on prints and embellishments for their collections…”
