A panel of prominent voices in the fashion and entertainment industry will judge the competition including New York fashion designer Marc Bouwer, design house Gaelyn & Cianfarani, actor Adrian Grenier (Entourage), actress Elizabeth Berkley (Hurly Burly), and fashion commentator Mickey Boardman (Paper magazine).
Participating Art Institutes locations include Art Institute of California-San Francisco, The Art Institute of Dallas, The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, The Art Institute of New York City, The Art Institute of Seattle, The Art Institute of Vancouver and The Illinois Institute of Art- Chicago.
Whispering to the conscience of the future of fashion design, Cool vs Cruel aims to instill and form early values in students, ethical and social concerns of wildlife entrapment and abuse, and trading fur for faux designs.
In turn, future designers will open and influence consumers to a growing new trend of responsible fashion and animal-friendly creations.
