Beckham to unveil bodywear line

Footballer David Beckham is launching a new range of men's innerwear. The L.A. Galaxy mid-fielder's foray into the fashion world is on the footsteps of his wife Victoria, who turned fashion designer from being a popular pop singer.
According to Beckham, 36, the idea to do something of his own was the result of his collaboration with Armani. During the four seasons for which Beckham had been ambassador for Emporio Armani's innerwear line, the turnover of the Italian fashion house has almost doubled. This has given the reason for Beckham to push for his own line.
The launch date for the bodywear line is not yet finalized, but the clothing items would include laid-back LA style staples like well-cut T-shirts and desirable boxer shorts. The new line will have a specially-designed logo by Alasdhair Willis, husband of fashion designer Stella McCartney.
Beckham has teamed up with Simon Fuller to manage the new line. Simon Fuller had earlier managed Victoria's band 'The Spice Girls' in the past.
