First Lady of Tanzania supports Fashion 4 Vision

The Lions Club Fashion 4 Vision annual Masquerade ball will be held on 11 June 2011 at the Kempinski hotel from 7.30Pm Onwards. This Charity fundraising cum advocacy event is aimed at not only fundraising but advocating the need for a right to all Tanzanians to have a healthy vision. This shall be the lion's club signature event where by it shall bring all leaders from various sectors in Tanzania under one roof for one purpose serving the society to sight for life.

To support this campaign, the first lady of the United Republic of Tanzania, will be the guest of honour of this fundraising event

“We are much honored to have the first Lady Of the united Republic of Tanzania Mama Salma Kikwete who has removed time from her busy schedule to be the guest of Honour for this annual event aimed at supporting our Sight Fist Program.” Stated Frank Goyayi President of The lions club of Dar Host.

As United we stand, and walking into the footsteps of the Lions Club motto to Serve, various Artistes have already joined forces to support this worthy cause. The artistes supporting this effort are Fareed Kubanda (FID Q), Comedian Steve Nyerere, Designer Jamilla Vera Swai and Mustafa Hassanali.

Amongst the celebrities joining this campaign are Jokate Mwegelo, Former Miss Tanzania 2004 and Tacaids Commisioner, Faraja Kotta Nyalandu, Hip Hop artiste Chidi Benz, Designer Binti Africa, Miss Tanzania Universe 2011 Nelly Kamwelu, Face of Africa finalist Lilian Mduda, KIsura Tanzania Diana Ibrahim, Bang Magazine fashion Editor Elgiver Meena, well known Models Jamilla Nyangasa, Evanuru Isack, Campaign Model Nadia ahmed and celebrity Make up artiste Rehema Samo.
“We are much honored to have more Tanzanian Celebrities Coming out forward to assist in this campaign to save sights. Together Tunaweza and I really salute their volunteerism and effort in making this event a possibility” Stated Mustafa Hassanali

This one of its kind annual signature Masquerade event will include Fashion Show, various entertainment performances, live band with Dinner and dance. Guests attending the ball are highly requested not to forget to Bring along their mask, be it Venetian or African.

The Fashion 4 Vision Annual Masquerade Ball is powered by Exim Bank Which is also supported by Club Bilicanas, Coca cola, Global Outdoor Systems, 2M Media, Lotus Creative Concepts, Choice Fm , Clouds TV, Fashion 4 Health, Daily news, Habari Leo and 361 Degrees.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.35 million members in 45,000 clubs in 206 countries and geographical areas around the world. Since 1917, Lions clubs have aided the blind and visually impaired and made a strong commitment to community service and serving youth throughout the world.

The name Fashion 4 Vision is inspired by the conglomeration of two subsidies the need to serve, and the need to bring the fashion and entertainment industry to use its various hues to save sights of the most vulnerable poverty stricken people in our society. Thus using Fashion 4 Health's slogan, a brand by Mustafa Hassanali an enterprising Designer cum philanthropist with a medical background to join forces with lions' club to host Fashion 4 Vision advocating Sight is life.
