Swiss luxury brand Bally inks JV with Reliance Brands

Swiss luxury brand Bally, which offers premium apparel and accessories has formed a joint venture (JV) in India with Reliance Brands, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL). The JV will have exclusive distribution and marketing rights for Bally in India, and will open stores in proven retail locations in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.
“We are very excited about this joint venture. Indian consumers are very discerning and have an appreciation for quality and craftsmanship, the demands for which Bally is perfectly suited to meet,” Bally CEO Frederic de Narp was quoted as saying by a new agency.
“Bally triangulates rich heritage, Swiss quality and a contemporary design ethos. It is with pride that we announce a partnership for India with the world’s second oldest luxury brand,” Reliance Brands CEO Darshan Mehta also said. (AR)
