Tom Ford is now Europe’s most searched for luxury brands, says research by France-based e-commerce advertising and shopping comparison service Kelkoo. The study surveyed spending habits across all major European retail markets, including the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain. Tom Ford was amongst the top 10 most popular luxury brands in each country.

The label ranked third in 70 per cent of these markets. In the United Kingdom, however, the brand ranked second behind Prada, according to European media reports.

In the overall Europe ranking, Gucci was in the second place, followed by Chanel, and then Prada in fourth followed by Dolce and Gabbana.
In the United Kingdom, Prada was followed by Ford, Versace, Tissot and Fendi, with Chanel managing to get the sixth place, while Dolce and Gabbana was eighth and Gucci ninth.

E-commerce is no longer just an option for high street shoppers, online marketplaces are increasingly a lucrative hunting ground for luxury purchases, said Kelkoo chief executive officer Richard Stables in a statement. (DS)
