There was continued demand from major markets and steady performance across key manufacturing sectors.

The United States was the country’s largest export destination during the quarter, accounting for 43.1 per cent of total exports, followed by the European Union (EU) at 15.7 per cent. Vietnam absorbed 9.9 per cent of exports, while China (6.3 per cent) and Japan (5.1 per cent) completed the top five export markets.

The rise in imports in the quarter was driven mostly by higher demand for production inputs, vehicles and construction-related goods, domestic media outlets reported.

China remained Cambodia’s largest source of imports, supplying 53.7 per cent of total imports. Vietnam followed with 10.1 per cent, while Singapore (7.8 per cent), Thailand (6.3 per cent) and Indonesia (3 per cent) were also key import partners.
