Freya Active unveils new range with Polygiene technology

September 03, 2012 - United Kingdom

Sportswear brand Freya Active have launched a new collection featuring Polygiene technology – an innovative odour control fabric that allows women to work out for twice as long, without having to wash their kit as often

Polygiene technology is used in the fabric of both the Freya Active performance top and performance capri pants, which works by stopping the growth of bacteria and fungi that create odours. Sweat itself is actually odourless, but it does help to create the perfect environment for odour-causing bacteria to multiply when they mix together on fabric.

Polygiene uses natural silver salt, a highly effective antimicrobial agent, to safely inhibit the growth of odour-causing bacteria and fungi. However, Polygiene does not affect the harmless natural bacterial flora that occur on skin. So without odour-causing bacteria, women can stay fresher for longer as they work out – as well as reducing the wear and tear that comes from regular washing.

In contrast to many other sports bra brands, Freya Active sports bras feature a non-compressive design, created to reduce bounce as the wearer moves, but without squashing the breasts. The underwired sports bra option offers unrivalled shape and support, with a wider curvature underwire and double fabric. Freya Active also offer a moulded sports bra option, providing full coverage and support. Meanwhile, the soft cup sports bra has an inner sling that extends to the shoulder strap, plus a flat bottom band for anchorage.

There’s a wide range of sizes across the Freya Active collection too. Tops are available in sizes 30-38”, D-HH cup and the capri pant is available in sizes XS to XL.

Freya Active offers a wide range of sports bras up to a HH cup. They are a division of Freya lingerie, who create a wide number of lingerie, swimwear and sports bra styles up to a K cup.
