Against a backdrop of a multicolor laser show, the models strutted down the ramp in itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny bikinis in the wildest prints that sparkled with dazzling glitter.
Aimed at the bold, daring, globetrotting woman and man, Pria’s very practical, stylish, ready-to-wear and non-crushable outfits were perfect for festivities by the beach, parties in town or formal evenings anywhere in the world.
Selecting a colour story that would fit in anywhere and at all times; it was resort white, neon green, bright coral, sunny yellow, quirky turquoise and electric blue that formed a fashionable rainbow on the ramp.
Fabrics were soft, sheer and fluid floating in the wind with easy comfortable silhouettes for the totally beach wear creations. To give a very formal touch, fur appeared on an occasional garment.
Pria’s signature kaftans were in the forefront but with a stylish twist that had belts, slits and exciting embellishments. The collection offered a variety of options to the fastidious dresser as tunics, gowns, minis, jumpsuits, cropped tops, high waist pants, skirts, flowing dresses and jackets glided down the ramp.
Column dresses looked sexy with mermaid hemlines, one-shoulder minis were tiny and seductive, funnel sleeves flapped with tassels edging the borders while slashed sleeves allowed the creations to almost float around the models. Jumpsuits were jaunty while the bejeweled bikinis, asymmetric halters, sheaths with sheer sides and tiny playsuits gave variety to the collection with a flapper girl look.
Keeping the ethnic dresser happy there were saris with the characteristic Pria Kataaria Puri touch worn with gleaming gold belts and at times edged with gold lace.
For Pria, gold is one of her favourites so gold cigarette pants, while a one-shoulder peplum top were a must on the runway.
Introducing for the first time, on the ramp was men’s wear by Pria, considered the ‘Queen of Kaftans’. Keeping the adventurous fashion conscious male in mind, the designer showed churidar pants with kurtas, knee length shorts, long kaftans, baggy pants, waistcoats, trousers and shirts in bold prints and very dashing debonair scarves.
Giving the “Fast and Curious” fashion followers of both sexes something edgy and elite, Pria Kataaria Puri’s collection presented by DHL will move speedily into top gear on the fashion charts worldwide.
