Weak downstream pulls down Asian ethylene last week

Weak downstream and upstream product prices in the region pulled down Asian ethylene prices in the last week ending Dec 6.

In Korea, average prices went down by US$ 45/ton or 4.05 per cent and were assessed at 1065/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average ethylene prices also fell by US$ 45/ton and were quoted at US$ 1070/ton last week, down 4.04 per cent from its previous week.

In SE Asia too, average ethylene prices declined higher by US$ 50/ton or 4.18 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 1145/ton last week.

In India too, average ethylene prices dipped by 4.18 per cent or US$ 50/ton and were spotted at US$ 1145/ton last week, as compared to its previous week.
