Tailored Brands appoints Carolyn Pollock as CMO
February 14, 2020 - United States Of America
Tailored Brands has announced the appointment of Carolyn Pollock as chief marketing officer. She will report to chief customer officer, Carrie Ask, and will oversee marketing for all of the company’s retail brands, including Men’s Wearhouse, Jos. A. Bank, Moores Clothing for men and K&G. Tailored Brands is a leading omni-channel specialty retailer.
Pollock is a proven marketing and management professional with a 20 year track record of driving growth and building successful brands. She has delivered results in both fast-growth entrepreneurial and established companies by creating a clear vision, articulating focused strategic priorities and managing successful teams, according to Tailored Brands.
Pollock brings to this role more than ten years of experience in consulting and interim marketing leadership roles at established companies such as eBay, Dolby, and Facebook, as well as leading start-ups like Thumbtack, Dashlane, and One Kings Lane. Her consulting experience enables Pollock to combine a fast growth and agile mind-set with an understanding of how to drive change in an established organisation. Prior to consulting, Pollock held marketing leadership roles at eBay and started her career with Unilever and Labatt Breweries of Canada.
“Carolyn joined us in a consulting role in mid-2018 – initially defining the brand strategies for The Men’s Wearhouse and Jos. A. Bank and then overseeing marketing for Jos. A. Bank. She has been instrumental in shaping Jos. A. Bank’s marketing strategy from both a creative and channel perspective. Under Carolyn’s leadership, the brand has seen growth in new customer acquisition, including the important younger generations, and significant increases in e-commerce and store traffic. We are thrilled to have Carolyn drive the marketing strategy across all of our retail brands,” Tailored Brands chief customer officer Carrie Ask said.
“I am excited to lead the marketing transformation at Tailored Brands as we continue to evolve our creative and reach our customers in more relevant ways. One of the first changes we are making to help modernise and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our marketing efforts is the signing of Starcom as our new media agency. Starcom is one of the leading media agencies in the country and brings a data-driven approach that will evolve our media mix, which is critical as we look to reach a younger and increasingly digital-first customer,” Pollock said.
