  • North India's cotton yarn market stayed largely stable as moderate demand and cautious buying after the Budget kept prices unchanged in Delhi, Ludhiana and Panipat. Yarn and fibre trades remained routine, with recycled yarns and PSF steady. Cotton prices slipped slightly amid weak mill demand, despite lower arrivals across Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan, keeping overall market sentiment subdued.

In Ludhiana, cotton yarn prices remained largely stable amid average demand and routine trading activity. A Ludhiana-based trader told Fibre*Fashion, “The yarn market is steady, with neither mills nor buyers pushing for price revisions. Export enquiries continue at regular levels, and rupee movement has not triggered any immediate change in yarn prices. Overall demand remains average, keeping the market balanced.”

In Ludhiana, ** count cotton combed yarn was sold at &#****;***-*** (~$*.**-*.**) per kg (inclusive of GST); ** and ** count combed yarn were traded at &#****;***-*** (~$*.**-*.**) per kg and &#****;***-*** (~$*.**-*.**) per kg, respectively; and carded yarn of ** count was noted at &#****;***-*** (~$*.**-*.**) per kg today, according to trade sources.
