While spinning mills kept their prices unchanged, traders and stockists reduced their offer prices due to weak demand from the consumer industry. A Ludhiana trader told Fibre*Fashion, “The cotton yarn market is more sensitive to US tariff developments. The recent ** per cent tariff on Iran’s trading partners has caused fresh concern after the earlier threat of *** per cent tariffs. Buyers have become cautious and are purchasing only for immediate needs.”
