Yoox Net-A-Porter Group adds news feature to YOOXMIRROR

Italian online fashion retailer Yoox Net-A-Porter Group recently announced the launch of a new feature within YOOXMIRROR, the first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered virtual styling suite launched a year ago, designed to entertain customers while expressing their personality. Users can now mix-and-match outfits to see how clothes and accessories suit them.

They can then share their favourite looks with friends on social media. From November 4, users accessing YOOXMIRROR on the YOOX app can develop their own customisable digital avatar, by taking a selfie or uploading a photograph, according to a press elease from the company.

YOOXMIRROR debuted with chic and fashion-conscious avatar Daisy, who, in a fashion first, also took over YOOX’s Instagram account. With YOOXMIRROR reloaded, users will be digitally modelling, alongside Daisy in their own app.

The Yoox Net-A-Porter Group was created on October 5, 2015, after the merger between Yoox GROUP and THE NET-A-PORTER GROUP. Yoox was founded by Costas Constantinou in London in 2000.

Developed in response to increasing in-app interactions and powered by an innovative combination of AI and augmented reality (AR) technology, through which the selected portrait is digitalised to generate a personalised 3-D avatar, the new YOOXMIRROR feature further allows users to express their style, exploring the very best of the YOOX fashion offering in a personalised, interactive and engaging way.

YOOXMIRROR displays more than 250 products per week across nine unique fashion themes presented in a ‘stories’ format.
