Luxury British footwear and handbag retailer, Russell & Bromley brand, along with the retail operations of its Bluewater, Chelsea and Mayfair stores, has been sold to Next Retail Limited, which will now operate these locations.

The transaction follows the appointment of Will Wright and Chris Pole of Interpath Advisory as joint administrators on January 21, 2026, pursuant to paragraph 22 of Schedule B1 to the Insolvency Act 1986, Russell & Bromley said in a release.

The administration covers Russell & Bromley Limited, Russell & Bromley Online Limited and Farwig Limited. While the remaining Russell & Bromley stores continue to trade under administration, online sales via Russell & Bromley Online Limited have been paused as preparations are made to transfer the digital platform to Next.

The joint administrators are acting as agents of the companies and have stated they assume no liability in connection with the administration.
