India's CPI inflation rate 1.33% in Dec 2025

India's YoY inflation rate based on the consumer price index for December 2025 was 1.33 per cent, according to provisional data from the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation.
The headline inflation in December 2025 rose by 62 basis points over the November figure.
The headline inflation in rural areas and urban areas were 0.76 per cent and 2.03 per cent respectively in December 2025.

India’s year-on-year (YoY) inflation rate based on the consumer price index (CPI) for December 2025 was 1.33 per cent, according to provisional data from the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation.

The headline inflation in December 2025 rose by 62 basis points over the November figure.

The headline inflation in rural areas was 0.76 per cent (provisional) in December, while it was 0.10 per cent in November last year.

An increase from 1.4 per cent in November to 2.03 per cent (provisional) in December, 2025, was observed in the headline inflation in urban areas, a release from the ministry said.

Year-on-year fuel and light inflation rate for December, 2025, was 1.97 per cent, according to provisional data. The same for November was 2.32 per cent.
