Hexcel to supply carbon NCF to auto composites maker Mubea

Hexcel has been awarded a contract for the first time by Mubea, a supplier of composites parts to the automotive industry. Hexcel will supply the company with Himax non crimp fabric (NCF) for the manufacture of carbon fibre monocoque chassis, which will be produced by resin transfer moulding (RTM) and use several different textile formats.
Hexcel’s contract covers the delivery of the key materials for the multi year duration agreement, for which, it is investing in a new non-crimp fabric line at its Leicester, UK facility.
