Recently, US based Glen Raven along with its Indian subsidiary Strata Geosystems displayed the ‘Concept Gallery’ in India.
The Concept Gallery showcased more displayed more than 150 different products providing the spark for innovation in the Indian technical textiles sector.

The event is designed to encourage experimenting with technical textile material finding applications in various industries like automotive, petrochemicals, construction and mining.
It also had geosynthetics for applications in filtration and protective fabrics for the police, military, fire fighters, etc.
According to Glen Raven, the Concept Gallery is a platform for sharing information and building a community dedicated to innovative development in the Indian market segment.
Products like Glen Flow, a permeate carrier component, which contributes to filter efficiency and reduced energy use in the water purification and desalination process were on show.
The products on display also had other characteristics like fire resistant, water resistant, protective workwear in thermal operations, military and safety apparel, etc.
“The audio – visual presentation at the event also helped in understanding better implementation of the products in existing techniques,” Glen Raven said.
Paige Mullis, Curator of Concept Gallery said, “We have been very excited with discussions that took place and exchange of views and ideas indicate the potential for innovation in the Indian market.”
“It is a one stop solution for innovators in the technical textile industry, as fabrics shown here are tested and have yielding high performance and can be used in various ways,” Ashish Vaidya from Shiva Texyarn Ltd added.
Set up 130 years ago, Glen Raven is involved from research and development beginning from spinning, weaving and finishing to distribution and logistics.
Strata Geosystems (India) established in 2004, is a joint venture with US based Strata Systems Inc., now a subsidiary of Glen Raven.
Strata is an end-to-end geotechnical solutions provider for reinforced soil walls, steep slope embankments, erosion control, strengthening of roads, storage yards etc. (AR)
