Maccaferri provides geocomposite to soccer field

Maccaferri has used its advanced Terradrain Football D8 MRT system, a network of perforated drainage geocomposite and shock pad into the stadium pitch. The Terradrain geocomposite ensures a very high and constant drainage capacity of water while simultaneously providing a shock-pad for reducing impact injuries for the athletes using the facility.

This drainage feature is critical for the prevention of differential settlement and deformation of the playing surface. The product has been made only out of recyclable materials and is easy to transport and quick to install.

The project to widen and renovate the Planica Nordic Centre, a world-renowned sports site has recently been completed. The Planica sports site now occupies an area of about 100,000 sq metre. (NA)
