Taiwan's textile industry is backing internationally-renowned brands sponsoring events and teams at the Winter Games Beijing, to be held during February 4-20 this year. The clothes of many national teams are made from sustainable, functional fabrics from Taiwan, whose functional fabrics account for 70 per cent of the global market, according to the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF).Taiwan is the leading supplier of sportswear fabrics, according to a TTF press release. Functional fabrics offer high stretch with great fit, light weight, breathability, wicking, anti-bacterial and odour management properties, and boost performance.
