The 5th IFF Fur & Leather Expo 2025 wrapped up successfully on March 7 at the Grand Intercontinental Parnas, Seoul, reinforcing its position as a premier platform for the global fur and leather industry. Over 18 exhibitors from key markets including China, Germany, Türkiye, Spain, Italy, and Greece showcased their latest collections, attracting around 400 buyers, including 75 VIPs, and solidifying the event’s importance in the luxury fashion sector.

The expo provided a dynamic setting for networking, fostering business collaborations across international markets. With a 70 per cent exhibitor return rate and the participation of three new brands, the event underscored the rising demand for high-quality fur and leather products in South Korea and beyond.

Press Conference & Media Engagement

A key highlight was the press conference, which brought attention to the Furmark programme, traceability, and certification standards, reinforcing the industry’s commitment to responsible sourcing and transparency. Discussions focused on the evolving landscape of sustainable fur and its role in luxury fashion.

Diplomatic & Government Support

The presence of high-profile diplomatic and government delegations further emphasised the international significance of the expo. Notable attendees included diplomats from Argentina, Greece, and China, along with key officials from Zaoqiang County and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce, and Animal By-products (CFNA). The Daying (a town in Zaoqiang County of China) government’s sponsorship further strengthened its commitment to the fur and leather trade, enhancing collaboration between international markets and South Korea’s luxury sector.

Future-Focused Seminar: Day of Inspiration

Bridging industry leaders with the next generation, the ‘Seminar: Day of Inspiration’ brought together fashion students from Hongik University for discussions on fur’s evolving role in fashion, sustainability, and innovation. The session, led by Kiran Mahmood, IFF Director of Global Events, and Molly Wang, IFF Director of China, inspired emerging talent to explore new frontiers in fur craftsmanship and design.

Exhibitor Excellence & Collection Highlights

The expo floor featured a stunning array of fur and leather outerwear and accessories, seamlessly blending fur with cashmere, wool, lace, and silk. Exhibitors showcased high-quality fur varieties, including Sable, Mink, Fox, Chinchilla, Bobcat, and Shearling, reaffirming the industry’s reputation for luxury and craftsmanship.
