Texfusion – New York, a show dedicated to international manufactures of fashion fabrics and accessories, denim, technical fabrics and garments, will host an extensive programme of seminars this month on 24-25 at the Penn Plaza Pavilion (Central Manhattan), US. Texfusion is hosted by Textile Events, the leading industry exhibition platform in UK.

Textile Events promotes the ecofriendly culture which aims to reduce the impact of the fashion industry on the global environment. At the Texfusion show, speakers will discuss latest market trends. Following its eco-friendly attitude, the central theme of this year’s talks will be ‘Sustainability and new trends within the Fashion Industry’.

On Wednesday July 24, Amanda Farr, NYC Fair Trade Coalition marketing chair, will lecture on ‘Marketing Ethical, Sustainable, and Fair Trade Fashion’. This will be followed by a lecture on ‘Introduction of Fabrics China Overseas Promotion Project’ by Bo Li, vice president, China Textile Information Center (CTIC).

From 2-2.45 pm, a discussion on ‘How Brands Are Marketing Their Sustainability Story’ will be anchored by Melissa Hall, founder – The Emerging Designer and Melissa Hall Consulting.

From 3-3.45 pm, there will be a discussion on ‘Design for Sustainable Manufacturing’, chaired by Tara St James, founder – Study-NY Study NY.

Similar type of discussions will be held the next day on July 25.
