AATCC & SGIA to get top speakers at textile printing forum

The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC), and the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), are set to gather some of the biggest names in the industry to cover the latest industry trends at the Digital Textile Printing Conference 3.0. The leading forum, which is in its third year, will be held on December 5 and 6, 2018, in US.

The speakers at the event will discuss on latest industry trends, the newest digital textile ink and printing technology developments, key market drivers, global market conditions, colour management and workflow developments, design software, digital manufacturing and integration, micro factories, and more, according to a media statement by AATCC.

Among some of the top line-up of speakers, Mark Hanley from IT Strategies will talk on the topic ‘Digital Textile Print Renews an Industry’. ‘Embrace Your Digital Reality. A New Paradigm in Creating Digital Print Files’ will be the topic chosen by Kristen Ritter from Gerber Technology.

Duncan Ross from AVA CAD CAM Group will talk on ‘Integrated Color Management: The X-Factor of Digital Textile’s. Xingyu Li from Intertek will speak on the topic ‘Print Clarity Test on Digitally Printed Textiles: A Quantitative Evaluation’. ‘Bespoke Experiences Made Economical: The Pigment Pretreatment Process Evolution’ is the topic chosen by Kelly Lawrence from Lubrizol.

Roland Zimmer and Thomas Kloebl from Zimmer Austria will speak on ‘Digital Pile and Carpet Printing: Possibilities and Limitation’. ‘First Sell, Then Produce: Enabling Sustainable Capsule Production’ is the topic selected by Sharon Donovich from Kornit. Mark Sunderland from Thomas Jefferson University will be talking on ‘Digital Dye Sublimation Printing for Customised Warp Knit Advanced Flexible Composites’.

In addition to the presentations, the programme will feature two panels. The first panel will focus on ‘Brand/Color Management/Digital Workflow’ and the second panel will address ‘Micro-Factory/Automation’. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions in these interactive sessions. (GK)
