APTMA signs MoU with Orien Bank Tajikistan

A high-powered All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) delegation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with President Orien Bank, Tajikistan to explore the prospects of bilateral trade and investment including cotton import from Tajikistan and extension of expertise for up-gradation of Tajikistan textile industry.

This was told by Chairman APTMA Mohsin Aziz on his return from official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.

Chairman APTMA Mohsin Aziz said APTMA is starting with import of 2000 tons of cotton initially, followed by further advancement on this front in future. Both sides have also agreed to exchange bilateral delegations to furthering investment in prospective areas ahead.

Mohsin said the APTMA would help out Tajikistan textile industry in revival, competitiveness and expansion of textile mills under the MoU signed with Orien Bank of Tajikistan.

He said he had led the six members' delegation including the immediate past Chairman APTMA Gohar Ejaz, Senior Vice Chairman APTMA Seth Akber, Chairman APTMA Punjab Ahsan Bashir, Yasin Siddique and Sohail Tabba.
